Shane
received national exposure when he became only the second person
in Kansas City to ever win a BASS event. Shane has developed
into one of the most respected tournament anglers in our area.
Shane grew up fishing for catfish, crappie, carp or anything
that would bite. When Shane was 5 years old he decided that he
wanted to become a professional Bass fisherman and is still chasing
his dreams. Shand has spent hours on the water developing his skills
and the viewers will see and sense that. Shane also does a lot
of charity work for his church and other organizations. Shane's
pride is his wife and kids. One thing the viewers will enjoy is
Shane's excitement and energy.
Shane is also the co-host of Show-Me
The Outdoors, which is seen weekly on TV and aired each Saturday on
610 Sports in Kansas City.

Kendall
Scheel started fishing when he was a kid. "I was born with
a Rod and Reel in my hand you might say. My love for fishing
soon translated into a love for bass boats when I was 10 years
old. From Ranger, Hydra-Sports, Skeeters, Ventures, Stratos
and several other designs, I was completely enamored in bass
boats. I soon started collecting boat pamphlets from many boat
manufactures and memorizing the specifications of different models
and how they were built. This was a hobby that I loved to do
(and still do). The first rig I ever drove was a 1976 15.5' Hydra-Sports
with an 85 Johnson (Javelin). I was 6 years old. This truly inspired
my fishing and boating hobby.
I soon started figuring out who built
or owned the companies and who had hands in designing the hulls
(Earl Bentz, Forrest L. Wood, etc.). At the same time, I was enjoying
fishing and talking about boats with anybody that would listen.
My first fifteen years I was raised in Illinois (Quad Cities area).
I cut my teeth on the Mississippi river catching largemouth,
smallmouth, walleye and northern pike. I moved to Missouri in
1986 and since then I have mainly fished the larger reservoirs
in Missouri. Table Rock, Lake of the Ozarks, Truman Reservoir,
Stockton and Bull Shoals." |
|
"The
fish I love the most is the largemouth bass and I would prefer
to catch them over any other. But I sure don't mind catching
the smallmouth and the spots that live in the Southern Reservoirs
of Missouri. In my teens, Roland
Martin, Rick Clunn, Larry Nixon and Paul Elias became
household names for my dad and I. We would watch the B.A.S.S.
shows whenever we could even though I had a lot of experience
in boating and fishing, I did not get involved professionally
with bass boats until 2006. Yes, I still followed boats each
year and preferred the Earl Bents built boats (Hydra-Sports,
Stratos, Javelin and Triton). But since inception in 1997, Triton
Bass Boats has been my staple. I was put on the Triton Boats
Pro Staff in March of 2006. I know more about these rigs then any
other I have ever wanted to study. I have run the Tr18, Tr196,
Tr20XHP and learned a lot about each rig from maneuvering characteristics
to rough water ride. From their highly efficient Vortex hull
on the Tr series and the X-HP series to the new and innovative
design of the X2 hull. The smooth lines and attention to detail,
plus the added great customer service puts Triton in an elite
league of boating manufacturers." |

Sterling
Scott has always been an avid sportsman enjoying hunting and fishing
but his love for fishing bass tournaments started in 1990 fishing
in Burton's Bait & Tackle weekly local circuits on Smithville Lake.
From 1995–2000 he fished in local Federation club tournaments
amassing numerous wins and placings. Two Big Bass of the Year awards,
a Sportsman of the Year award and qualifying three years for the
Missouri State Championship.
In 2001 he moved into the Heartland Pro-Am Circuit where he won
two tournaments in the Amateur Division and was the 2001 Top Amateur
Money Winner. In 2003 the Mid States Tournament Association (MSTA)
came to Kansas City. Sterling finished in first place as the year
end points leader and finished second in the fish off just missing
out on winning a $25,000 bass boat by 2 ounces to "Big Bad Bob
Kitterman"!
Sterling has been sponsored by Triton BOats since 2000 and brings
a lot of Triton experience to our team as one of the founding principals
of Show Me Campers & Boats. He also owns a commercial real estate
company called Northland Management & Investment and is involved
with several other local business ventures. While being a devoted
family man to his lovely wife Sherri and three children – Ashley
11, Sierra 7 and little Sterling 4, he is content, for now, enjoying
Mid-States and other local tournaments.
